Who Owns & Runs Slochd

Slochd is independently owned and personally managed by Caroline and Paul, who both grew up in Oban before moving to Barcaldine over 30 years ago to raise their family.

With strong roots in the local area, they created Slochd to offer guests a calming and restorative stay that combines modern comfort with a warm, personal touch.

Paul, a local joiner, has worked on several surrounding houses in the area, before building Slochd. Alongside running Slochd, Caroline works for the NHS.

When they are not working, Caroline and Paul enjoy being outdoors, spending time with their grandchildren, and walking their dog, Oscar.
